When we first started designing Veyono, we faced a choice: go automatic like everyone else, or do something different.
Most adaptive lenses today are photochromic - they darken in sunlight and fade indoors. It’s clever. It’s convenient. But it’s not always consistent. They react slowly, they struggle with car windshields, and worst of all — they decide for you.
We wanted something smarter. Not just reactive, but responsive - to you.
How Manual Tint Works
Veyono shades use a layered lens system powered by a small mechanical dial. With a smooth twist, you control how much light enters - from barely-there tint to full-on shade. No batteries. No delays. Just instant feedback.
Think of it like adjusting the aperture on a camera lens - more light when you want to connect with the world, less when you need focus.
Why It Matters
It’s not just about the function. It’s about intention.
Manual tinting gives you presence. It invites interaction. You feel it when you twist the dial. You see it immediately. And more importantly: you choose. Whether you’re moving from sun to shadow or screen to skyline - you’re in charge.
Designing the Perfect Twist
Perfecting the tint dial wasn’t easy. It had to feel satisfying. It had to glide. It had to last.
We tested countless mechanisms, friction levels, and grip textures - until we landed on the one that just clicks.
It’s a small gesture. But it’s the heart of Veyono. Because control is a design decision.
